The Healthy Mouth

 Richard A. Miller DDS,FAGD

We understand patient's are often reluctant to have x-rays of their teeth.  X-rays can locate problems before they become impossible to repair. These images demonstrate why x-rays are important on a regular basis.  Note the tooth on the lower right is healthy and pain free when the x-ray was taken.

Within two years a new x-ray found  very deep decay.  The tooth was still pain free.

This x-ray  was exposed after the tooth was extracted and replaced with an implant.

A Preventive Dental Practice

For comparison purposes a single dental x-ray is 5-9 sievert (a measure of x-ray exposure).
